ABOUT US
The Golden Bridge Project is a group of volunteers who would like to see Sherman become a model community in reducing carbon emissions and thereby help mitigate global climate change.
We are focusing on home energy since homeowners can save substantially on energy costs while reducing their carbon footprint at the same time.
We are not affiliated with any outside group or any commercial operation.
Golden Bridge was started by Kent Lawson and Joyce Lillis, as a discussion group, with the objective of finding common ground on a broad spectrum of issues facing our society among people with a variety of political beliefs. The discussions were interesting, but ultimately frustrating because there was little that could be done locally
Climate change, while clearly a world-wide problem, is something that could be addressed, in small part, locally – and that is what we set out to do.
