Energize CT has a terrific program called “Home Energy Solution” or HES. They come out, do a thorough evaluation of your home energy waste (leaks, insulation, etc.), and even provide weather stripping around doors, etc., to reduce heat loss.
They leave you with specific recommendations, such as adding insulation to your attic, and provide information on subsides and financing.
It only costs $50 and is worth many times more than that. (The service is heavily subsidized by a surcharge on your electricity bill – so you are already paying for it anyway, and might as well take advantage of it.
